Truck Mileage Tracker ("the Application", "we", "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, and defines your responsibilities as a user regarding the security of your account.

2. Information We Collect

To provide tracking functionality, we process the following data:

Identification: Name, email address, and profile picture (via Google Auth).
Vehicle Data: Truck number, VIN, odometer readings, and configured rates.
Location Data: Specific GPS coordinates used solely to suggest cities.
Financial Data: Expense records and receipt images.

3. Device Permissions

📍 Location (GPS)

Used only in foreground to suggest your current city when creating trips. We do not track your location in the background.

📸 Camera

Used exclusively to scan VIN barcodes and capture photos of your receipts.

4. Data Security

We use a cloud database architecture that logically isolates each user's information. Data is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We implement strict validation on file uploads (5MB limit) to ensure system integrity.

5. User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that the security of your access credentials is your sole responsibility.

Truck Mileage Tracker is NOT liable for data loss, unauthorized access, or deletions resulting from the theft of your password, use of weak passwords, phishing, or unlocked devices.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted services including Google Firebase (database), Google Maps Platform (routes), and NHTSA API (VIN decoding).

7. Data Deletion

You have the right to permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time via the "Settings" > "Delete Account" menu in the app.

8. Legal Disclaimer

Note: This app is a recording tool. Calculations are estimates based on your data. We are not a tax or accounting advisory service.
